This page explains what information we collect when you visit our website or apply for a medical store franchise, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how AKTICON LABORATORIES PVT. LTD. ("AKTICON", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit akticonlaboratories.com (the "Website"), submit a franchise application, or otherwise contact us.

We are a retail pharmacy company registered and headquartered in Patna, Bihar, India, offering medical store franchise opportunities under our Own & Run and Fully Managed models. This policy applies to the Website and to information collected through our franchise enquiry forms, WhatsApp, and phone.

By using this Website or submitting any form on it, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or submit your information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you fill out our franchise application form, contact form, or the popup enquiry form, or message us on WhatsApp or by phone, we may collect:

  • Full name
  • Mobile number
  • Email address (where provided)
  • City and state
  • Date of birth (where requested, for record purposes only)
  • Details about your investment timeline, funds readiness, and shop/location availability
  • Your preferred plan (₹10 Lakh Own & Run or ₹25 Lakh Fully Managed) and preferred time to be contacted
  • Any message or additional information you choose to share with us

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you browse the Website, certain information is collected automatically through Google Tag Manager and the tools configured within it, including Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. This may include:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent on the Website, and referring/exit pages
  • The advertisement or search query that brought you to the Website, and whether you completed a franchise application afterward
  • Cookies and similar identifiers placed by Google and Meta (see Section 5)

2.3 Communication Records

If you contact us via WhatsApp or phone, records of that communication (such as chat history or call notes) may be retained by our team for follow-up and by WhatsApp/Meta under their own privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your franchise enquiry and assess your application
  • Contact you by phone, WhatsApp, SMS, or email regarding your enquiry or application status
  • Evaluate franchise eligibility, including your stated timeline, funds readiness, and location
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Website and our franchise process
  • Measure and improve the performance of our advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Ads) and understand which channels bring genuine applicants
  • Comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and protect our legal rights
  • Prevent fraud, spam, and misuse of our forms

We do not use your information to make any automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Franchise approval decisions involve human review by our team.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Web3Forms — the form-processing service that delivers submissions from our Website forms to our email inbox. Web3Forms acts as our data processor solely for this purpose.
  • Google — Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Fonts, YouTube (for the embedded store video), and Google Drive (for the downloadable term sheet) each operate under Google's own privacy policy when you interact with them on our Website.
  • Meta / WhatsApp — if you message us on WhatsApp or if the Meta/Facebook Pixel is active on the Website, Meta processes that data under its own privacy policy.
  • Legal & safety — if required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AKTICON, our partners, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if AKTICON is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy continuing to apply.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our own Website code does not set first-party cookies or use browser local storage to track you. However, the third-party tools we use — loaded through Google Tag Manager — may set their own cookies or use similar technologies once active in that container. This currently includes:

  • Google Analytics — to understand how visitors use the Website (pages viewed, time on site, traffic sources).
  • Google Ads conversion tracking — to measure which ads led to a completed franchise application, so we can report performance to Google and improve ad targeting.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — to measure ad performance on Facebook/Instagram and build audiences for retargeting.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising using Google's Ad Settings and Meta's Ad Preferences tools directly on those platforms. Disabling cookies may affect how the Website functions but will not prevent you from submitting a franchise enquiry.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your franchise enquiry or application is active, and for a reasonable period afterward — typically up to 3 years — for record-keeping, accounting, and legal-compliance purposes, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or you request earlier deletion under Section 7. After this period, your information is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA") and other applicable Indian law, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligation we may have to retain it.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw your consent to processing at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Grievance redressal — raise a grievance with us as described in Section 12, and if unresolved, escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.
  • Nominate — nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption on this Website and restricted internal access to franchise application data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Website and franchise programme are directed at adults capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Our Website contains links to and embeds from third-party services — including WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Drive, Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies before interacting with them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the tools we use, or applicable law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Grievance Officer & Contact

For any questions, requests, or grievances relating to this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact us:

If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India as constituted under the DPDPA.
